Our main start-up cost was a Cumbria Ambulance Service approved AED. At £2500 this was not cheap but is essential in order to provide the best possible chance of survival. We needed funds to purchase cpr masks, torches, bum bags, high visibility jackets and car signs.

Our next biggest cost is our pagers, which are rented and  cost £5 per pager per month - £820 p.a. We have purchased a training AED  which simulates different heart rhythms and 2 resuscitation dummies (Annie) at a cost of £540. High Visibility jackets at £20 each, torches, CPR Masks etc. with the total start-up cost being in the region of £3500.

ALL THIS MONEY HAS HAD TO BE FOUND BY THE TEAM fortunately we have been successful in obtaining grants and donations from many sources including - Awards For All, Brampton & Longtown Round Table,The Rotary Club, Brampton Neighbourhood Forum, Brampton Parish Council, The Co-Op, Cumbria Community Foundation, Brampton Hospital League of Friends and also through local donations at our fundraising events. However fundraising is an ongoing thing, only by continued support can we carry on providing this service to OUR community.
